Keeping 180 Buses Moving After a Cable Strike

When concrete works damaged a concealed cable supplying a Tweed bus depot’s refuelling station, Capital Power Systems provided an after-hours temporary generator. Around 180 buses could be fuelled and ready for service the following morning.

This occurred early in the evening, right before the kids bed-time routine, amazing timing hey (parents, you know what I'm talking about). But with around 180 buses still needing fuel before the next day’s services, including school runs, CPS was onto it..

Capital Power Systems attended after hours and supplied a temporary generator and cabling to restore power to the refuelling station while the permanent cable repair could be properly investigated and completed.

One damaged cable had the potential to disrupt an entire fleet. Temporary power generation kept the depot moving.

Sorry kids, no excuse. You can still get to school tomorrow.
